Infarction, Acute Infarction

SPLENIC INFARCTION ASSOCIATED WITH RUPTURED SPLENIC ARTERY ANEURYSM
18 year old female cystic fibrosis, biliary cirrhosis presents with acute rupture of splenic artery aneurysm .
CT shows evidence of an acute infarction in the anterior tip of the spleen with unusual micro-aneurysmal changes in the short gastric vessels.
The liver is cirrhotic and there are regions of focal bile duct dilatation.
There is perisplenic fluid and more inferiorly a large hematoma was present in the retroperitoneum.
